colourist - Darrin Klimek

I started off as a photographer, shooting advertising and editorial images for a diverse range of clients. This was my introduction to colour grading by way of photoshop. For years I advanced my skills in both photography and photoshop leading me to the role of colourist today. I evolved from photography into cinematography after shooting a short documentary about a man with Tourette syndrome. That film was accepted into the TIFF short film program. At that time, I began using colour grading software and working with colourists on projects I'd shot. I've spent years leaning Davinci resolve from many senior colourists and honing my skills before launching as a freelance colourist.
